What is Beatland USA?
Beatland USA is a one‑day music industry conference in downtown Pittsburgh that brings together industry executives, artists, technologists, entrepreneurs, and aspiring professionals to explore music, culture, tech & business innovation.

Where will the conference take place?
The conference is hosted at Emerald City, a 12,000 sq ft coworking and event space in downtown Pittsburgh that is open to all, and also dedicated to supporting Black entrepreneurs and professionals in the region: emeraldcitypgh.com
What can I expect during the event?
Expect thought‑provoking panel discussions, fireside chats, and plenty of networking. Sessions will cover a wide variety of topics related to the music business
Will meals or catering be provided?
Coffee, snacks, and water will be provided on-site. Pittsburgh’s vibrant downtown also has many nearby eateries within walking distance. You are also allowed to bring food into the space.
Where should attendees stay?
We are in conversation with the Omni William Penn Hotel about possible room rates. If you are interested in booking a room, then please email criticalventuresllc@gmail.com with the subject line “Booking at Omni William Penn” with # of rooms and dates you plan to stay.
Emerald City is centrally located in downtown Pittsburgh—public transportation, parking garages, and other walkable hotel options are nearby. We encourage early booking once we announce partners.
Is there parking available?
Emerald City does not offer on-site parking, but nearby garages—including those affiliated with hotels and garages in downtown Pittsburgh—are available. We do not offer validated parking.
When should out‑of‑town attendees arrive?
Please plan to arrive at the venue no later than 9:30am the day of the conference.
Are volunteer or media passes available?
Yes. Industry enthusiasts can apply to volunteer or request a press pass. Volunteer spots and media access are limited; email criticalventuresllc@gmail with either “Volunteer” or “Press Inquiry” in the subject line. We recommend applying early or securing a standard ticket to guarantee full participation.
